A Promise
Three tortoises prepared their lunch and went to the riverside for a picnic. Just as they arrived at the riverside, the weather changed suddenly. A heavy rain was imminent. Therefore they held an emergent meeting to discuss their countermeasure. They immediately decided to send the small tortoise back to fetch the umbrellas. The small tortoise finally agreed that, if the old tortoises guaranteed not to eat the sandwich, he would go back to fetch the umbrellas. The two old tortoises agreed.
One day passed, then a week and then a month. When a whole year had passed, the two old tortoises did not see the small tortoise. Then one of the old tortoises said to the other,“He can't be back. Let's eat the sandwich!”. As soon as he heard their words, the small tortoise extended his head from under the rock and said, “If you eat the sandwich, I will not go!”
诺言
三只乌龟准备好了午餐来到河边去野炊，刚到河边不久天色突变，一场大雨近在眼前。于是它们召开紧急会议讨论对策，并且马上决定派一只乌龟回去取雨伞。小乌龟最后同意如果在它不在的时候老乌龟保证不吃三明治的话它就回去取伞，两只老乌龟表示同意。
一天过去了，一周过去了，一个月过去了，最后一年过去了，两只老乌龟还不见小乌龟的踪影，于是一只老乌龟对另外一只说：“它不会回来了，我们把三明治吃了吧！”。话音刚落只见小乌龟从后面的岩石下面把头伸出来说道：“你们吃的话我就不去了！”。

a man wanted to buy an ass.he went to the market,and saw a likely one,but he wanted to test him first.
so hetook the ass homemand put him into the stable with the other asses.the new ass looked around,and immediately went to choose a place a place next to the laziest ass in the stable.
when the man saw this he put a halter on the ass at once,and gave him back to his qwner.
the qwner felt quite surprised.he asked the man,why are you back so soon?have you tesed him already?i don't want to test him any more,replied the man ,from the companion he chose for himself,i could see what sort of animal he is.

一个人想买头驴。他去了市场，看到一只很可爱的驴。但他想先测试它一下。
所以他把驴带到了家，然后把它和其它驴一起放到圈里，这只新来的驴左右看了看，马上选择了离最懒的驴最近的地方。

A little boy asked his mother Why are you crying?

God said: When I made the woman, she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world; yet, gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.
